There are a myriad of texts on the web about yoga, what it is and what it does to our body, mind and soul.  I’ll keep it simple and not rewrite… here’s some excellent Yoga 101 read I recently spotted on Yoga Journal’s website.

For me, next to its mental and physical health benefits, yoga is self-care and self-transformation.  It’s a journey into the self; or a love affair with your self, if you like – on and off the mat.

My classes vary between a slower paced Hatha Yoga and a medium paced Hatha Vinyasa Yoga practice.  As every class is a little different – different participants, different bodies and therefore, different physical capabilities and limitations – I adapt the pace and intensity to the students’ needs.

I strive to create a warm class environment as the foundation for a mindful, fun and inspiring yoga practice that integrates meditation, breathing and relaxation techniques.  I would describe my teaching style as authentic, precise and accessible, with a focus on mindfulness and alignment.
